“I Haven’t Had Cosmetic Surgery,” Says Aydan Şener
Actress Aydan Şener has addressed speculation about her youthful appearance, saying she has not had cosmetic surgery. The 63-year-old added that she might consider it in the future, but for now she is content with small, non-surgical touches.
Şener spoke to reporters while visiting a shopping centre in Istanbul’s Etiler district. She explained that she does not often visit the area, as she lives in Sarıyer. On this occasion, she had come with her daughter to shop and buy a phone.
The actress also offered a glimpse into her everyday routine. She said she tends to wake up late, then spends some time over coffee and on her phone. She is usually at home, where she watches programmes and looks after her animals.
Şener said she has been using social media less lately. Distressing news can make her want to step away from it, she explained, although she still tries to read and respond to comments from time to time.
Asked about her approach to self-care, Şener said she does not spend excessive time focusing on her appearance. Instead, she pays attention to what she eats and drinks, goes for walks and takes care of her skin.
She was clear about the cosmetic procedures she has – or has not – had: “I haven’t had cosmetic surgery. I may consider it later on, but for now I’m sticking to small touches.”
Her comments distinguish between cosmetic surgery and less extensive treatments. Şener did not specify what she meant by “small touches,” so it would be inaccurate to assume she was referring to any particular procedure. She also made no announcement that she plans to undergo surgery.
The actress’s remarks suggest that her current priorities are everyday habits rather than a dramatic change in her appearance. Regular walks, balanced eating and skincare are the practices she chose to mention, while leaving open the possibility that her decisions could change with time.
There is no single approach to ageing or personal care that suits everyone. Some people choose cosmetic treatments, while others prefer to rely on lifestyle habits or make no changes at all. Şener’s comments describe her own choices at this point in her life, rather than offering a prescription for others.
Her appearance has prompted questions, but Şener’s message was straightforward: she has not had cosmetic surgery and is not ruling out future options. For now, she says, small touches and a simple self-care routine are enough.
