Different Victory for the Eagles: Beşiktaş Maintain Their Unbeaten Start
Beşiktaş Handball Team continued its strong opening to the THF Men’s Super League season with a convincing 45-31 victory over Güneysu SK. The black-and-white side produced an effective performance at both ends of the court and secured its third consecutive league win.
The match was played at the THF Serdar Seymen Handball Hall, where Beşiktaş began the contest with Miguel Espinha, Danyel Kaya, Egehan Gül, Alperen Arabacı, Ismael Fernandez, Sadık Emre Herseklioğlu and Eyüp Arda Yıldız in the starting seven.
Beşiktaş controlled the tempo from the opening minutes. Their organized attacking play, quick transitions and disciplined defensive structure allowed them to establish an advantage before the interval. The visitors went into half-time leading 19-12, creating a solid platform for the second half.
Güneysu SK attempted to respond after the break, but Beşiktaş did not allow the match to become competitive again. The black-and-white team maintained its intensity, continued to find gaps in the opposition defense and widened the margin as the game progressed.
By the final whistle, Beşiktaş had completed an emphatic 45-31 triumph. The 14-goal difference reflected the team’s superiority, particularly in the second half, when the visitors increased their efficiency and turned their control into a comfortable result.
This victory also extends Beşiktaş’s perfect start to the league campaign. In the previous round, the team had defeated Spor Toto SK away from home, winning 36-27. The back-to-back victories against demanding opponents underline the squad’s early-season consistency.
Beşiktaş have now demonstrated that their ambitions extend beyond simply collecting points. The team has shown a clear tactical identity, combining fast offensive movements with a compact defensive approach. This balance has been one of the main reasons behind the unbeaten start.
The attacking unit has been particularly impressive during the opening weeks. Beşiktaş have regularly found the net at a high rate, while their ability to move the ball quickly has made it difficult for opponents to organize their defenses. Against Güneysu SK, this attacking fluency was visible throughout the match.
Another positive feature was the team’s ability to preserve concentration after taking the lead. Rather than slowing down after building a comfortable advantage, Beşiktaş continued to play with purpose. That mentality helped the side maintain its momentum and eventually produce its biggest winning margin of the season so far.
The defensive performance was also important in shaping the result. Beşiktaş limited Güneysu SK’s opportunities during the first half and prevented the opposition from establishing a sustained rhythm. Goalkeeping interventions and coordinated defensive positioning further strengthened the team’s control.
The result will provide additional confidence ahead of the next fixtures. An unbeaten beginning can be especially valuable in a long league campaign, as it gives the squad belief while allowing the coaching staff to develop tactical plans from a position of strength.
At the same time, Beşiktaş will be expected to maintain the same level of discipline in future matches. Strong starts are important, but consistency across the entire season will determine the team’s position in the standings. Avoiding lapses in concentration and preserving physical freshness will therefore remain key priorities.
The black-and-white club has already sent a clear message to its rivals: Beşiktaş are ready to compete at the top of the THF Men’s Super League. With three wins from three matches and an impressive offensive record, the team’s campaign has begun in highly promising fashion.
The 45-31 victory over Güneysu SK was more than another two points. It was a performance that highlighted Beşiktaş’s depth, tactical discipline and attacking potential. The Eagles will now look to carry this momentum into the upcoming fixtures and continue their unbeaten run.
