Enerjisa Enerji Announces CFO Transition
Enerjisa Enerji will appoint Joanna Kepczynska as its chief financial officer from 1 November 2026, succeeding Dr. Philipp Ulbrich. Ulbrich, who has held the CFO position since June 2023, is moving to a new role within the E.ON Group as Global Business Services Module Lead.
Kepczynska currently serves as a member of the management board and CFO of E.ON Polska. Her appointment brings extensive experience in the energy sector and corporate finance to Enerjisa Enerji’s senior leadership team.
Enerjisa Enerji Chairman of the Board İhsan Erbil Bayçöl said Ulbrich had made a significant contribution to the company’s financial management and transformation during his three years in the role. He noted that Ulbrich had helped strengthen the company as it entered a new regulatory period and continued investing in Türkiye’s energy infrastructure. Bayçöl thanked him for his work and wished him success in his next position within E.ON.
Bayçöl also welcomed Kepczynska, pointing to her long-standing executive experience in Poland and Germany. Her background spans energy distribution, retail and customer solutions-areas that align with Enerjisa Enerji’s strategic priorities. The company expects her financial expertise to support continued value creation for customers, investors and other stakeholders.
Kepczynska has worked in finance for 30 years, including 23 years in management positions. Over the course of her career, she has held senior finance and controlling roles across E.ON and RWE operations in Poland and Germany. Her previous positions included work at RWE Polska, RWE Generation, RWE Vertrieb and E.ON Foton.
Since 2016, she has been an E.ON Polska management board member and CFO. In that capacity, she oversees financial management for the company’s businesses in energy sales, distribution, energy solutions and heating. She will take up the CFO position at Enerjisa Enerji on 1 November 2026.
Kepczynska’s academic background includes an MBA from Warsaw University of Technology and the London School of Economics, as well as a master’s degree in finance and banking from the Warsaw School of Economics. She studied economics at the University of Tübingen in Germany and continued her education through the Polish-German Academic Forum in Warsaw and Mainz.
The transition places an experienced energy-sector finance executive at the centre of Enerjisa Enerji’s financial leadership. A CFO’s remit typically includes financial planning, reporting, capital allocation and risk management, while also supporting major investment decisions. These responsibilities are especially relevant for energy businesses, where long-term infrastructure projects and changing regulatory conditions require disciplined financial oversight.
The company’s leadership change comes as it continues to invest in Türkiye’s energy infrastructure and operates in a new regulatory period. Although the announcement does not set out specific financial targets or changes in strategy, continuity in financial management will be important as the business carries forward its existing priorities.
Ulbrich’s move to Global Business Services Module Lead means his next role will also be within the E.ON Group. The planned handover gives Enerjisa Enerji time to prepare for the change before Kepczynska assumes the CFO position in November 2026.
For investors and business partners, the appointment provides clarity about who will lead Enerjisa Enerji’s finance function after Ulbrich’s departure. Kepczynska’s experience across energy sales, distribution and solutions gives her a background spanning several parts of the sector, while her long tenure in senior finance positions brings substantial executive experience to the role.
