Car overturns in forested area in Tekirdağ: 1 dead, 3 injured
An evening drive in Tekirdağ’s Çerkezköy district turned into a fatal accident when a car veered off the road and rolled into a wooded area, leaving one person dead and three others injured. The tragic crash took place in the Kuşbahçe locality, where a vehicle driven by Hakan Kaplan lost control and overturned after striking trees in a forested zone by the roadside.
According to initial findings, Kaplan was behind the wheel when he suddenly lost command of the steering. The car left the roadway, slammed into trees among the dense vegetation and then flipped over. The impact was so strong that the vehicle was left badly damaged and some passengers were trapped inside.
Witnesses in the vicinity alerted emergency services immediately after hearing the sound of the crash and seeing the wreckage among the trees. In response to the calls, police, gendarmerie, fire brigade and medical teams were dispatched to the scene. Despite being immediately taken to hospital and receiving medical intervention, he could not be saved and passed away.
