Italiano Sends a Message of Confidence to Beşiktaş Players

Vincenzo Italiano is confident Beşiktaş can handle a demanding run of fixtures across the league and Europe. With a busy 50-day stretch ahead before the November international break, the coach is reportedly backing his squad to come through the challenge without serious setbacks.

Beşiktaş are set to play a series of important matches in quick succession, testing the team’s fitness, focus and squad depth. Italiano is said to have told people close to him that the players are making good use of the international break to prepare for the packed schedule.

A demanding 50-day run

The upcoming fixtures begin on 11 October, when Beşiktaş face Kocaelispor. They then meet Hoffenheim on 15 October, Trabzonspor on 19 October and Crystal Palace on 23 October.

The schedule continues with a match against Başakşehir on 26 October, followed by Kasımpaşa on 1 November. Beşiktaş will then take on Celtic on 5 November before playing Gençlerbirliği three days later, on 8 November.

After the international break, the team are due to travel to face Konyaspor on 22 November. One of the most anticipated games in the period comes on 30 November, when Beşiktaş meet Galatasaray.

“We’ll get through without damage”

Italiano is reportedly confident that the team can navigate the demanding period. His message to those around him was that Beşiktaş have nine matches to play before the Galatasaray clash and can get through them “without damage.” He also said the squad were using the international break productively.

The coach’s immediate challenge will be to prepare his players for a schedule that combines domestic and European competition. Frequent matches leave little time for recovery, so training sessions, travel and squad rotation will all require careful management.

Maintaining fitness will be particularly important. Players who are asked to start repeatedly may face an increased physical load, while those coming off the bench could have a key role in keeping the team competitive across the full run of fixtures.

Squad depth could prove decisive

A packed calendar can create opportunities for players who have not had as many minutes. Rotating the lineup may help Beşiktaş preserve energy, but changes also need to be balanced against the importance of maintaining rhythm and cohesion on the pitch.

Injuries and suspensions can quickly alter a team’s plans during a demanding period. Having several players ready to step into different roles would give Italiano more options and reduce the burden on those who feature most often.

The mental side of the challenge matters too. A difficult result can be followed by another match just days later, leaving little time to dwell on a setback. Keeping concentration high and responding calmly could be as important as physical preparation.

Beşiktaş will also need to approach each fixture on its own terms. The opposition and competition may change, but consistent organisation and effective recovery between games can help prevent the schedule from becoming overwhelming.

The run culminates in the derby against Galatasaray on 30 November. Beşiktaş’s form and fitness heading into that match may depend on how successfully they manage the preceding weeks. Italiano’s confidence suggests he believes the team can meet the challenge and arrive at the derby in strong condition.
