Beşiktaş Interested in Ilaix Moriba as Midfield Reinforcement
Beşiktaş have reportedly added Celta Vigo midfielder Ilaix Moriba to their list of potential transfers. The Black-and-Whites are continuing to strengthen the defensive midfield position at the request of head coach Vincenzo Italiano, and the 23-year-old Guinea international has emerged as a surprise candidate.
The Istanbul club have already completed deals for Fabio Miretti and Ernest Poku, but their work in the transfer market is not over. Italiano is believed to want another player capable of operating in the number six role, particularly someone who can provide physical strength, defensive balance and controlled distribution from deep areas.
Moriba’s profile appears to match those requirements. Developed in Barcelona’s academy, the midfielder was once regarded as one of Europe’s most promising young talents. His technical ability, ball-carrying skills and composure in possession helped him attract considerable attention at the beginning of his senior career.
The player is now looking for a fresh start. According to reports from the Spanish press, Moriba is considering leaving Celta Vigo in search of a new opportunity that could help him revive his career and return to the level expected of him when he first broke through.
